Location. The Africa-themed Sheraton Safari Hotel Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Fla., is within walking distance of shops and restaurants and is two miles from downtown Disney. The hotel is within four miles of SeaWorld Orlando, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Complimentary shuttles are available to Downtown Disney and all Disney theme parks.
Hotel Features.The Sheraton Safari Hotel Lake Buena Vista presents unusual hotel offerings like an alligator in a glass case, a macaw on a stand and African artworks and handicrafts displayed throughout the lobby. The hotel features an impressive water complex where a 79-foot python-shaped slide begins at the top of a rock formation. Sliders fall through the python's tunnel-like body and splash down beneath its huge head. The complex also includes a large pool, a 12-foot-diameter children's pool and a spa tub in a secluded tropical garden. Other garden features include a shady playground and a wood bridge over a goldfish pond. The Zanzibar Lounge serves lunches and dinners inside or outside in a thatched-roof gazebo. Casablanca's, connected to the lounge, offers buffet-style breakfasts and à la carte dinners. The poolside Monkey Bar is available for snacks and cocktails from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. nightly.
