Location. Eco Suites Alcala are located in Madrid, Spain, 50 metres from Alcala Street and 600 metres from Ciudad Lineal metro station. The Grand Square (Plaza Mayor) is 7.5 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Situated in a quiet residential and commercial neighbourhood, this four- storey hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. Eco Suites Alcala features a bar on the terrace next to the swimming pool. There is also a separate swimming pool suitable for children. Active guests can head to the gym and workout on the fitness equipment. Parking (surcharge) is provided and childcare is available.

A buffet breakfast is served daily for a surcharge. The Eco Dunas Restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes during the day, and a terrace opens during the summer.

Guestrooms. Eco Alcala Suites offers 32 suites with air conditioning. All of the suites include saloon areas with sofabeds, living rooms with American style bars and kitchens with refrigerators, microwaves and kitchenware. Bathrooms are complete with hair dryers. Amenities include flatscreen satellite television, DVD players, safes and direct-dial phones.

Expert Tip. Located seven kilometres from the hotel is the Museum's Triangle, which incorporates Prado Museum, Museo Thyssen and Museo Reina Sofia. The museums house fine art from the 20th century, Modern Art, the Renaissance and much more. Saturday afternoon and Sunday are free at Reina Sofia.

Distance to Eco Suites Alcala is 8.5 kilometres, approximately 10 minutes' drive.

Getting there. A regular underground metro service runs from the airport to central Madrid. The station is located in terminal 2 and is on line 8 (pink). The single fare is 1.75 EUR. An airport bus runs to central Madrid's Plaza de Colon terminal. The bus departs every 10 minutes and tickets cost 2.40 EUR. Taxis into the city centre cost about 30 EUR, including an airport surcharge. Prices subject to change.

Getting around. The squares and narrow streets in central Madrid are best explored by foot. An extensive public bus and metro system offers a cheap and efficient way to get around the city. Single tickets can be bought from bus drivers or machines. A 10-trip Metrobus ticket, costing 6.40 EUR, is ideal for those making multiple journeys. Taxis can be hailed on the street and are reasonably priced.
