The InterCityHotel Berlin is a modern hotel located adjacent to the Ostbahnhof railway station in Berlin, 300 metres from the Berlin Wall East Side Gallery and two kilometres from Alexanderplatz. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. An airport bus is available that connects to the underground system. There is also a jet express airport shuttle serving central Berlin. The hotel is next door to the Ostbahnhof (East Station) railway station. Berlin's integrated public transport system (the BVG) is the best way to get about. One ticket allows travel on all trains, trams, buses and ferries.
Driving from the airport, take the A111 to the city centre. When the A111 becomes A100, take exit number 7 towards Kaiserdamm. Turn left onto Knobelsdorffstrasse, turn right onto Sophie-Charlotten-Strasse and then left onto Kaiserdamm. When Kaiserdamm becomes Bismarckstrasse, enter the next roundabout and take the second exit onto Strasse Des 17 Juni. Pass through the next roundabout and then turn right onto Entlastungsstrasse. Turn left onto Potsdamer strasse and continue onto Leipziger Strasse, Spittelmarkt, Gertraudenstrasse and Muhlendamm. Turn right onto Molkenmarkt and right again onto Stralauer Strasse. Continue onto Holzmarktstrasse and then turn left. Continue onto Andreasstrasse and turn right onto Am Ostbahnhof.
